Essential Gardening Tool List

The good thing about gardening is that everyone has their own methods of pruning and their own plan of how to trim the bushes. But, we have created a list of what we deem to be the most helpful tools available to the modern gardener and will give you the different priced versions where available. Without further ado, ToolsDIY’s Essential Gardening Tool List.

Gardening Tool List

Secateurs & Pruners

The essential tool for deheading flowers, snipping herbs and harvesting small vegetables. They will come in to use more times than you will even be able to recollect, make sure they are easily accessible and comfortable on your wrist as you will be cutting all sorts of bags, string, plants and more. We have a vast range of pruners and secateursavailable

Alternatively to a pair of secateurs, you can carry round a strong, but comfortable pair of general purpose scissors.

Shears

Sharp and sturdy shears are essential for tidying up the garden hedges and all forms of topiary, whether you are carrying out fine detailing or having to get rid of a large amount of growth, the shears at ToolsDIY will get the job done.

Trimming shears with wooden handles are handy for the majority of small jobs, but for the larger shearing jobs there is nothing better than a set of lightweight aluminium garden shears.

Digging fork

Obviously for a gardener there will be a necessity to have the whole range of digging forks and spades, but for gardening, first and foremost the soil needs to be turned and evened out before any real cutting in and decorating can be completed, so our collection of stainless steel garden tools, in particular the digging fork is essential for those first steps of gardening.

Watering Hose

With the simultaneous droughts and flooding in the UK, we are never sure of using the garden hose, the best we can do is place a water butt to catch all the rainwater, add abutt pump so a hose can be attached and then use a hose spray gun to control the flow of the water. This will save on the water bill.

Here at ToolsDIY we have a vast array of gardening tools to help you keep your garden looking prim and pretty. If you need any advice, please feel free to get in touch.
